Fighting games have always had an big impact in society it is one of the major competitive events in the world. Evo was made which is the biggest fighting game tournaments in the world where people go to compete for a big prize money in multiple fighting games. Part of the reason it is so big is because of the skill level required to perform well players must master positioning inputs and timing in order to beat their opponent. One of the biggest fighting game and my personal favorite Super Smash Bros is a huge phenomenon in and outside of the gaming community the game brings together famous video game icons to fight each other including fan favorites from across the world.
